“ We reserved the igloo and it was great! It was private and heated. The food and wine were really good as well! ”
“ 4.5 stars. Hartwood Wine Cave is a restaurant that offers a selection of locally produced red, white, and rose wines as well as some ciders, cocktails, and beers and some foods such as pastas and pizzas. I reserved an outdoor igloo tent for 40. The weather outside was very cold, but the interior of the igloo felt warm. The igloo had seating for up to eight people. While my husband and I waited for our food to be cooked, we roasted marshmallows over an outdoor fire pit to make s’mores. Minutes later, our server accidentally took our food to another costumers’ igloo, but that customer brought the food over to us. Our favorite foods were the spinach and artichoke dip with flatbread and the shrimp diavola. My husband thought that his ricotta and meatball pizza tasted OK. He commented that the food was overpriced, but he really enjoyed the fun and unique experience inside the igloo. ”
“ Spring had sprung so we decided on a road trip from Hopewell Twp, near the Grtr Pgh Airport, for something different & unique. We found it at Wine Cave. Two thumps up! The atmosphere is uniquely pleasant. The service was efficient, relaxed and not rushed. Michele is very knowledgeable & helpful with the ample selection of wines. She deserves a pay raise! Also had the honor & pleasure of speaking with owner Nikki. Our first experience at the Wine Cave was all-around very enjoyable and we will return. No excuse, if you live nearby, not to frequent often! Saluti! ”
“ We had an awesome time at the Hartwood Wine Cave tonight. We rented and igloo and had a delicious dinner along with wine, sangria and beer. The staff was very attentive and friendly! Highly recommend! ”
“ Great idea place for date night! Cool atmosphere inside feels like you are in a cave. The outdoor area is great on a nice night. Variety of wine, a few beers available too. The food was good also ”
“ First time here. We had a girls' day out and decided to experience the Igloo. We made the reservation in advance, and it reserves your time in the igloo for 2 hours. The main winery/restaurant is unique and welcoming. Staff led us outside to our reserved igloo. It was 22 this afternoon, and although it was a bit chilly at times when the "door" to the igloo was opened, it was warm and comfortable the rest of the time. Staff were friendly and prompt. To start, I chose a wine flight, which consisted of 4 wines. We shared their Pretzels and pita chips as appetizers, and both were delicious. For lunch, I shared the apple pecan salad with chicken and a margarita flat bread. Both were good choices and very flavorful. There is a small cottage on site that be rented as well. There is also outdoor seating available during warmer weather. Definitely will go back! ”
“ My family loves this hidden gem! I love that they have a kids menu and are accepting of kids. (Ps I highly recommend booking an igloo to keep your kids contained and not bothering anyone else while parents can enjoy a bottle of wine!). We've been here quite a few times now and always left satisfied. The food is excellent and the ambiance is so nice. And great wine! Definitely recommend! ”
“ I have been coming here after Tuesday night hikes with the Beat the Blues Wellness Group from the meetup app for a few weeks now, really nice place with lots of outdoor seating and bonfire capabilities. Had food tonight for the first time with their revamped menu choices and was really impressed with the newfound comfort food menu options.. I had the roasted vegetable pasta which was incredible. Will be back for Saturday brunch after another hike in the future. ”
